Why you should attend this masterclass

The European Directive 2001/42/EC on the assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment and the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 respectively, require strategic environmental assessment (SEA) and sustainability appraisal (SA). SA applies to Local Development Frameworks and Regional Spatial Strategies, SEA applies to these, plus local transport plans, waste and minerals plans, and a wide range of other plans and programmes. This masterclass explains how to fulfil these legal requirements, and how to use the SEA/SA processes to help improve plans.

“Very thorough, well presented and executed. Extremely good booklet”

“Responded to requests and additional coverage. Very enthusiastic leader”'

'This masterclass was an excellent/quick method of getting up to speed with a leading presenter. The table layout format made it less formal and more interactive. Ricki Therivel was an excellent speaker and very engaging'
