About this masterclass

This one-day masterclass will highlight everything you need to know about LDFs. Participants will gain a considerable amount of knowledge and experience, through the use of topical case studies and workshop exercises, and from the considerable knowledge and practice experience of the leader.

Why you should attend

With the introduction of LDFs, a great deal has changed for all concerned with development planning. LDFs are to be spatial plans, intended to be positive in their influence over change in order to contribute to desired outcomes, and to be prepared in light of a culture change that needs to embrace all involved in making and using plans. At the same time as absorbing a great deal that is new and rapidly evolving, rapid progress has to be made by planning authorities and their partners. Resources continue to be a concern for many authorities but increasing the skills of current staff increases the capacity to meet the new requirements and to make the most of the opportunities resented by the new arrangements. This masterclass is a hands-on session about the things that all involved with LDFs need to know about, with participants able to gain from the considerable knowledge and practice experience of the leader, and from topical case studies and workshop exercises.
