What is the conference about?

The waste agenda continues to change. Brussels has adopted a new Waste Framework Directive that will introduce new targets and reinforce the requirement for a comprehensive framework of waste management plans in the UK. Whilst planning authorities are struggling with the new planning system in bringing forward plan. Meanwhile infrastructure proposals are coming forward from industry, but there is no relaxation in public opposition to these. This conference will provide delegates with the opportunity to discuss these challenges with key Government officials and players from the Environment Agency, the waste industry and regional and local waste planning sectors.
